If you have ever visited a dispensary you’ll notice an important number on the label: THC percentage (%). A high testing strain will contain somewhere between 20-30% THCa (active THC). Let’s talk about another important 20%: Veterans.

In a study performed by the USVA, it is estimated that 20% of the 2.7 million Iraq and Afghanistan U.S. vets experience PTSD or depression. The norm for treating veterans usually involves a buffet of prescription drugs. But, thanks to the voters of Missouri, we now have an alternative: Medical Cannabis.

Medical cannabis is a proven safe and easy option, without the damaging side effects of opiate-based prescriptions. The approval of medical cannabis by veterans today has reached an all time high of 83% in the USA (USVA). This is a clear sign that cannabis helps.

If you’re not a doctor or physician, you’re probably wondering what you can do to help our nations suffering soldiers.

Someone dealing with PTSD, depression, or another mental condition can find it difficult to research and find someone who they can reach out to for a safe and fun alternative. That’s where we come in: the medical cannabis community!

With one phone call, a licensed physician can get the process completed for you effortlessly. Within 10 days of applying with your physician recommendation, you’ll receive your medical cannabis card. Seeing your medical cannabis card for the first time can be a major relief in itself: knowing you legally have the right to cope the way you know is best for you.

Some veterans find it very therapeutic and fun to cultivate their own cannabis at home. Watching something grow, taking care of it, and seeing it form into a beautiful version of YOUR medicine is very rewarding. It gives veterans something to be excited about, something to look forward to, and something to brag about to their buddies at the VA.

If you have your medical cannabis card and a solid knowledge of how to grow at home, then helping a veteran set up his or her grow is right up your alley!

The most important thing to remember is that cannabis is in fact medicine. The healing power of cannabis has been recognized and states are legalizing it left and right. Also, Cannabis is fun, rewarding, and healing. There’s no better feeling than doing nice things for others who need help.

If you have any questions or would like information on getting your medical cannabis card, feel free to send an email my way. I will respond in less than 24 hours with everything you need to know.
